The Carlisle Artisan Market History

We can't wait to welcome you to our indoor, year-round, artisan market located inside of the award-winning Carlisle Antique Mall. The market was built in 1918 by S. Ralph Eppley to be an indoor Hupmobile car dealership. (Hupmobiles were manufactured from 1909 to 1939 by the Hupp Motor Car Company of Detroit). During the 1930's A&P Grocery occupied the space advertising indoor parking while purchasing their wares. We boast Wi-Fi, music, new ATM, multiple indoor loading areas, and PA sound system for live music and bands. We boast FREE parking in our rear lot and 50 additional spaces in an adjacent Carlisle borough lot that is free each weekend. Street parking in historic Downtown Carlisle is free weekends as well. This is the complete list of tips to help you enjoy all our shows have to offer. There is something for everybody at Eppley's Market. Whether you are redecorating your whole house, scoring some new jewelry or enjoying one of our famous baked goods, this list will help you do it like a pro! Check out these 6 insider tips straight from the market:


1. Arrive early and return regularly for the best deals. 

 With over 40,000 sq ft of vendors there is a lot to see! Park FREE in our private lot located behind the market. Metered parking is FREE, and the lot next to the C.A.M. boasts 50 additional FREE parking spaces each weekend. Our artisans have 24 hour access to restock overnight so you'll find tons of new treasures weekly.




2. Wear comfy shoes and clothes!

 You'll be covering lots of ground as you hunt for those new treasures so comfortable shoes are a must.  



3. Cash is the great negotiator. 

 Many of our artists will be present Saturdays, so bring plenty of cash. If you want the best deal on a treasure, cash is your best option. There is an ATM inside of CAM should you find yourself needing more.


4. Come hungry and thirsty. 

 Stop by our concession area for a quick bite, or to quench your thirst with the perfect beverage.




5. Don't sweat the small stuff, or the large.

 Large items can be held in CAM's Holding Area for one week at no charge. Our crew will even help you load large items into your car from our loading zone or convenient indoor pick-up height loading dock.

Attention all new artisans! Before you send us your request, please keep in mind: 

  • The Carlisle Artisan Market was designed for our vendors to pull inside of our indoor loading bay to unload. Please unload then pull out so others may do the same. Parking is free in the rear so park then come back inside to set up your space.
